Description:
The client ordered a task: to create a reconstruction project of a warehouse facility for administrative and business functions. One of the key requirements was to maintain the height of the building – we had to save the insolation regime in the apartments of neighboring houses.
A dynamic architectural volume became a solution to all those problems. The building is delicately executed using light-colored metal panels which cover the entire surface of the building. Due to these panels both roof and walls of the building are perceived as an integral volume. The aesthetic appearance of the roof is especially important for residents of the neighboring buildings – we took into account that the reconstructed building would be well-viewed from above. The volumetric-spatial solution is designed so that the building appropriately fits to the existing residential development. The reconstructed building has acquired a noticeable modern look. And at the same time, it doesn’t destroy the architectural and spatial integrity of the existing space.
