Description:
The interior solution corresponds to the image of its owner – it is a brutal interior that easily adapts to changes.
The owner – a young active man – asked us to turn his two-room flat into a transformable apartment. The apartment should obey three different life scenarios. According to the first one, it should easily withstand any noisy home party. There will be joint film screenings, soulful conversations and all-night gatherings. At the other time, when a party is over, the apartment must be cozy and comfortable for its owner’s living. Each unnecessary thing should be hidden; everything should be clearly organized both for work and comfortable rest. Finally, according to the third scenario, in the near future the apartment should be able to accommodate a young family of three.
We radically changed the apartment’s planning design. That allowed us to set two separate bedrooms. The main center – a spacious kitchen-living room - is located in the geometrical center of the space. As there is no window in living room we decided to launch sunlight in from other rooms. That is how translucent loft doors appeared; they allow to perceive bedrooms and living room as a single spacious room. To protect sleeping area from unnecessary views and noise we added movable panels, which can cover glass doors.
We have created a charismatic interior that meets client’s needs. Due to the co-existence of such different scenarios the apartment will stay relevant as long as it possible.
