Description:
The presented residential building was codenamed Stoneplate. Massive walls made of natural stone give the building a sense of impressiveness and stability. In contrast to the balanced masonry, the defiant solution of the floating upper volume stands out. The striking contrast of finishes and conveyed moods enlivens the architectural design of the house. Through the contact of two such radically different solutions, a special ideological spark is born, carved out of stone.
In the exterior of the house, two main volumes are visually read, compositionally displaced relative to each other. The first floor includes technical rooms, a family block, a terrace and a garage. On the second floor there is a residential block and a spacious view terrace. On such a covered terrace you can spend cozy family evenings or, on the contrary, spend time in solitude, contemplating the beauty of the surrounding nature. The protruding volume of the terrace forms an extensive canopy over the main entrance. There is also an open garage for two cars. Thus, in combination with retaining walls that protect the territory from the effects of precipitation and wind, a dynamic spatial composition of the entrance group is formed.
When choosing finishing materials, the main emphasis was placed on natural materials, such as wood, fired board, natural stone, concrete, ceramic facade slabs. The massive lower tier of the building looks like it has been hewn out of rock, while retaining its relevance to the existing environment. The smooth texture of the ceramic tiles, the visually refined roof, the abundance of glass and light - all this together gives the upper block a feeling of weightlessness and allows it to become an architectural dominant in the composition of the house.
